Over on X Takara Tomy has given us our first real look at the highly anticipated Studio Series Transformers the Movie (SS86) Megatron as well as the last two Constructicons Scavenger and Mix Master, and Transformers One Starscream and Elita-1. Takara has a second wave of limb bots (and a backpack) for their Wild King line. As with the previous limbs, most share the same parts and have identical transformations, except for the Pteranodon, called WKB-08 Thunderbeak. The others are WKB-05 Ignite Leo, WKB-06 Spirituan and WKB-07 Drillnohorn (rhino). The images come from Telamaga. While a staple of the 80s and 90s, the glow in the dark gimmick has not been used much with Transformers. While there have been some examples, it’s been sporadic and minimal to the point where Hasbro never released a glow in the dark Transformers figure outside of the crossover line. UNTIL NOW! Yup, not only is the Earthspark toyline still around but it will be breaking new ground with the brand by giving us a Glow in the Dark Megatron toy. We still have some new Earthspark toys coming out, like this set of Optimus Prime with trailer. Neither are fully new toys, though there are changes in deco to thr trailer and changes to tooling for Optimus.
